A new documentary-style video series is spotlighting the people, places and traditions that shape Camarillo, using local voices to tell stories rooted in agriculture, equestrian heritage, food and family-run businesses.

Part of the Colors of Camarillo campaign developed by Visit Camarillo in partnership with The Abbi Agency, the videos feature longtime community landmarks including Gerry Ranch,Camarillo Ranch and Ottavio’s.

Through short films produced in multiple lengths—15 seconds, 30 seconds and two-minute cuts—residents and business owners guide viewers through the experiences that define everyday life in the Ventura County city.

Watch them all and you could win a prize.

Rather than scripted narration, the videos center on authentic perspectives from community members, highlighting how generations of families have helped shape the area’s identity. The storytelling draws inspiration from the legend of the Camarillo White Horse, a symbol closely tied to the city’s history.

“The Colors of Camarillo campaign reflects who we are as a community,” said Yuliana Garcia, executive director of Visit Camarillo. “It allows us to highlight our history while introducing travelers to the people and experiences that make Camarillo worth exploringtoday.”

The campaign also includes a landing page that hosts the video series along with suggested itineraries, background on featured locations and trip-planning ideas for visitors.

To coincide with the launch, Visit Camarillo is introducing the “Colors of Camarillo Horse Hunt,” an online contest tied to the videos. Participants watch the three campaign films and look for miniature Camarillo WhiteHorse figurines hidden in each.

Viewers can submit the timestamps through entry forms for a chance to win a prize package that includes an overnight hotel stay, a $100 gift card to Ottavio’s, a Camarillo Ranch tour for four with merchandise, a $50 gift card to Camarillo Premium Outlets and a blueberry u-pick bucket at Gerry Ranch.
